If you're not 100% satisfied after your first visit then you won't pay a cent.  And if we're not the right fit for your needs we'll happily refer you to another healthcare professional who can help.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

Accepted Answer

No. No referral needed. You can book directly - we often have same day appointments available.

We also have a $40 new patient offer - so you can see if this is the right care for you.

If you’re on a GP care plan, Medicare may cover up to 5 visits per year. During your first visit we can advise you on eligibility and how to access these visits with your GP.

Will it hurt?

Accepted Answer

No. Most patients are adjusted using the gentle Activator instrument (no cracking). If you prefer the traditional manual style, that can be used too—always explained first, and always your choice.

Will I need X-rays?

Accepted Answer

Rarely. Most patients don’t need them. If X-rays are required for safety or a clearer picture, you’ll be bulk billed, so there’s no extra cost.

Another Chiropractor told me I need an expensive package… do I?

No. We do not sell prepaid programs or “investment packages” that are $2k, $3k - or more.

Many people come to us for a second opinion after hearing that elsewhere.

At Whitehorse Family Chiropractic you only pay for the visits you choose—come as little or as often as you need.

How much does it cost?

First Visit Special: $40 (normally $90) – includes a full assessment, first treatment (if appropriate), and home care advice. If Chiropractic care isn’t the right fit, or you're not 100% satisfied,  you won’t be charged.

Standard Visits: $65. Clear pricing, no contracts, no pressure.

If you have private health insurance you may receive a 50% to 80% rebate.

If you have a GP Care Plan you could be eligible for up to 5 fully covered Medicare visits per year.  Speak to us about eligibility.

Does Medicare cover Chiropractic?

Yes—if you’re on a GP care plan. This covers up to 5 visits per year, with no gap fee at our clinic. We can help guide you on how to ask your GP about eligibility.

Does private health insurance cover Chiropractic?

Accepted Answer

Yes—many funds include Chiropractic under extras.

Rebates vary:
	•	Some cover a percentage (e.g. 50–80%).
	•	Others pay a set amount (e.g. $25–$40 per visit).

We process claims on the spot, so you only pay the gap.

Is parking easy?

Yes. Parking is close so getting in and out is simple.

There is 1 hour free parking just in front of the clinic.

Can I get there by train?

Yes. Our clinic is conveniently located 150m from Blackburn train station. 
It's a 2 min walk.

What if I have arthritis, osteoporosis or another health condition?

Your care is always adapted to your age, health and comfort. If Chiropractic isn’t suitable for you, we’ll let you know and guide you in the right direction.
